VIDEO OF THE DAY: CAT SHIT ONE TRAILER

RATING:

Every time I watch quality anime, it makes me want to spit on the frozen face of Walt Disney. Not that Wally's legacy hasn't produced quality films in the past half century, but the runaway success of the mouse house has branded the feature length cartoon as something strictly for the kids. THIS IS NOT TRUE and the Japanese, bless their eastern hearts, flaunt this fact in our faces with one brilliant work after another. Case in point? CAT SHIT ONE!

Based on the popular manga from 1998, this anime is computer-generated and has the cutest, fluffiest bunnies you've ever seen blowing each other away in war time. The adorable violence isn't left to the imagination either. When Botasky, the sniper rabbit, puts one through a foreign enemy from long range, a beautifully animated crimson mist sprays out from the exit wound! The original manga was renamed APOCALYPSE MEOW (damn good title) by the time it reached our shores years ago. It looks like they're sticking with CAT SHIT ONE (just as sweet) this time around. Personally, can't wait for this. Unfortunately it won't be ready until early 2010.
